Mission:
To provide children ages (7-9) and (10-12) in the Kingston communities an opportunity to come together, build strong leadership skills, and work towards establishing an environment of care and compassion for themselves and their peers.
Goals:
- To establish a genuine love for Islam and our community in the hearts of our children at a young ages in order to ensure continued involvement with the community as they grow.
- To promote a confident Canadian Islamic identity with strong leadership skills that help children to excel at all levels.
Membership:
- Open to all children boys and girls from 7-12. One-year membership $20.
- Membership allows free/discounted tickets to tournaments and special events.
- Membership Card will be provided to each participant, in addition to T-shirt.
Program Description:
The program will involve the following:
- Learning Component: In depth Islamic Learning through interactive discussions covering the fundamentals of Islam and their practical applications.
- Integrated Sports & Social Activities: Each session will include integrated sport activities including (Football, Air hockey, Basketball, Bowling, Ping-Pong… etc). Each session will also end with free food (Pizza) and a social gathering.
- Special Events: fundraisers, scavenger hunts, First Aid & CPR training, Public speaking, field trips… etc.
When: Monthly (from March 2014 to March 2015). First Session Will be March 22 . Remaining sessions will be notified through monthly email.
