Jumu'ah Announcements for August 25 / Dhul Hijjah 3

1. Please join us tonight at 7 pm for a talk on Faith and Sacrifice: Lessons from the Hajj by Imam Ryan Carter. Tea will be served. Bring a dish if you wish Insha Allah.

2. Wednesday was the first day of Dhul Hijjah. Insha Allah. Therefore Arafah will be held on Thursday, August 31 and 'Eid-ul-Adha will fall on Friday, September 1, 2017.
'Eid prayer will be held at 8:00 am at the Cataraqui Community Centre (1030 Sunnyside Road). Takbeerat will start at 7:30 am. Please bring your own prayer mats from home.

The 'Eid Party will be held on Saturday, September 2. Stay tuned for details Insha Allah.

3. Registration for the ISK Evening & Weekend school is now open online at the school website Insha Allah. Please read the welcome package as there have been some updates. Also we are looking for Qur'an teachers who are proficient in Tajweed. Please apply online. Must be able to work with children and youth, and provide a Valid CPIC.

4. Last week, a student family in our community were victims of a significant flood in their apartment. As a result, they have lost the majority of their possessions and furnishings. They have two daughters (1 and 3 years old) and the greatest need is to provide things for the children. If you can help this family in any way, please contact Sr. Mona Rahman at: education@kingstonmuslims.ca

5. Dr. Mohammad Farooq passed away suddenly on Monday. Inna lillahi wa Inna ilaihi rajeeoon. Please remember him and his family in your Du'a.
