Jummah Announcements

Jumu'ah Announcements for June 9 / Ramadan 14

Please remember to avoid parking on the street when coming for Jumu'ah or Taraweeh as you may be ticketed. In addition to the main parking lot, please take advantage of the extra spaces behind the workshop and at at the back beyond the playground, especially during Taraweeh.

Insha Allah, we will be collecting donations for the ICK Extension Project today in the hall. Please donate generously and multiply the blessings.

Please help us alleviate the extra expenses during this blessed and busy month of Ramadan by contributing to the Ramadan fund in the designated collection boxes.
Zakat-ul-Fitr has been established at $10/person this year. Please give this Zakat before the day of 'Eid by placing it in the designated collection box.

There will be a community iftar on Saturday with food provided by families of the Arab community. Please come early to join in making du'a, Insha Allah. Due to the low numbers there will no longer be a bus from campus. Rather a RideShare program is being coordinated. There will still be Taraweeh held on campus for those not at the masjid in the Maclaughlin Room.

The Muslim Children's Circle Ramadan Overnight program will be the night of Saturday, June 17 starting after Taraweeh. You MUST register to attend. There will be no supervision until after Taraweeh so please do not drop off children before then, Insha Allah. The sleepover is for children ages 7-12.

This is the final week for the ISK Evening & Weekend School. Islamic Studies tests will be held on the last day, June 17. Qur'an tests will be this week Insha Allah. Please inform the teacher if you will be away on test day so that alternate arrangements can b made. Failure to attend without an excuse will result in a grade of 0.

The ISK is hosting an Islam & Science Summer Camp this year from July 17-21 for children ages 4-11. Early bird registration ends June 30 after which the price will go up.We are also hiring counsellors and volunteers to run the camp. Please see the poster or e-mail for details Insha Allah.

The Qur'an competition has been cancelled for this Sunday due to the low number of participants. We will decide whether to combine and have one event next week.

We will be participating in Doors Open Kingston on Sunday June 18 from 12-3 pm Insha Allah.
